Young Guns 2 was $7 at the grocery store
So after watching Young Guns 2, I can pretty much say that it’s kind of an undervalued movie. If it hadn’t been the second Young Guns movie, it probably would have been better. If it was just a movie about the last days of Billy The Kid, without the baggage from the first movie, it could have been better. It’s not that this is really a bad movie, it’s just not great and it lacks the punch of its predecessor. The characters aren’t as well defined in this one, and even the characters we know are a little bit distant. Having to get Kiefer Sutherland and Lou Diamond Phillips back meant that they had to jump through some hoops that would have been better left unjumped.
At least they didn’t try to tell the exact same story again, they changed it up and even added an interesting framing device in the part of Brushy Bill. Unfortunately the story they finally went with was a little disjointed and lacked a strong narrative. It’s still okay, but just okay, nothing special. What is entertaining though is seeing Viggo Mortensen in a fairly small roll. I always like seeing someone who worked in movies for years and years suddenly hit it big, because you get to watch all the movies they had little rolls in and point them out to people. Few people realize that Mortensen was just a small time guy for about 15 years before the roll of Aragorn came along. I get the same kind of giggle when I see Catherine Zeta-Jones in a pre-mega start roll.
Mario Galaxy
What no one ever considers is that Mario, Peach and Bowser are a MMF-3way-poly-love-triangle-sex-thingy and that Bowser kidnapping the princess is just their pre-sex role playing.
Why else would they be fighting one day and then playing tennis or going go-cart riding together the next?
Why?
Because Bowser likes being made Mario’s bitch, that’s why!
Granted, this makes for the most drawn out foreplay in history, but still.
It makes perfect sense.
