I'll come up with something in a minute.

In which I talk about art again.

I’m pretty sure I’ve said this before, but I’m going to say it again.

When taken as a group William-Adolphe Bouguereau’s paintings feel reeeeally creepy. I mean look at Thirst. Not so bad right? Now look at The Young Shepherdess and then La Frileuse then Cupidon. Now look at Thirst again. CREE to the PEE!

Sadly, one of his paintings, The Nut Gatherers happens to be a favorite of mine. It’s the wallpaper on both my computers right now. It’s not helped that I have given it the subtitle “Young Lesbians in Love” due to the looks those two are giving each other.

I should have just stuck with Bruegel (Pieter the Elder that is) for my painting enjoyment. There is no creepy sexual subtext to The Triumph of Death or in Mad Meg. There is just pure unadulterated awesome.
