I took a look at the train as we climbed off into what I assumed was the station. Nothing seemed right about this. The train itself seemed to have changed, to have aged as we rode it. She looked slightly more comfortable, but I could tell it was a facade. Her fingers quivered as they took hold of my hand, and she was pale. I put an arm around her, reminding her that it probably wasn’t as bad as all that, but there were undeniably footfalls behind us. We didn’t look back, simply began to rush towards the station.
